In a shocking and tragic incident, five soldiers were shot on Thursday morning at Fort Stewart, a major U.S. Army installation located in southeast Georgia. The U.S. Army confirmed the incident, which occurred during what was described as a routine unit activity. According to Army spokesperson Lt. Col. Lindsey Elder, the shooting occurred shortly before 9 a.m. within a secure area of the base.
